Lashings

Diagonal Lashing

When putting crossed braces on a structure to keep it from racking (as used when making a trestle), the most important lashing is the diagonal lashing where the spars cross. Further Information

Filipino Diagonal Lashing

The Filipino Diagonal Lashing provides an alternate approach to tying the Traditional Diagonal Lashing that is much quicker. Further Information

Round Lashing

Tripod Lashing

Note: This lashing works very well for most Scout Pioneering applications, but for a heavy tripod, or a large one that will be supporting a lot of weight for a longer period of time, using racking turns (Figure of Eight Tripod Lashing) provides more contact between the rope and the spars. Further Information
